Cobo Hall Grade Level Parking

Project Location:  Detroit, MI
Project Features:  185,000 Square Feet of 6? Concrete Pavement
11,000 Cubic Yard Grade Cut
6,500 Ton of Aggregate Sub Base
Completion Date:  October, 2011

The logistics were the key component to this project being that the existing parking structure had been in place for years. We were responsible for prepping and pouring the concrete pavement at grade level for the existing parking structure. The scope of work included removing 11,000+ cubic yards of existing soils and placing the new sub base to prepare for the placement of the new concrete pavement. The majority of the concrete pavement was placed with a Somero Laser Screed equiped with the 3-D Profiler System.
