Ambassador Bridge - Gateway Project

Project Location:  Detroit, MI
Project Features:  550,000 Square Feet of Concrete Pavement
20,300 Cubic Yards of Concrete
Completion Date:  March 2009

The Ambassador Bridge - Gateway project was a 550,000 square foot parking lot placed in the heart of winter which brought about many challenges. The project required the use of multiple ground thawing units and insulated blankets to ensure that the schedule was met while protecting the integrity of the concrete pavement. This pavement was placed with a Somero SXP Laser Screed with a 3-D Profiler System.
