The Future of Concrete

Make your project work for you with PrīmX, the first jointless
concrete industrial flooring system.

STRONGER. SAFER. SMARTER.

PrīmX is an advanced steel fiber-reinforced, no-shrink concrete flooring system. Its patented technology uses ready-mix concrete combined with high-dosage steel fibers and proprietary admixtures to eliminate joints, saw cuts, and post-installation problems with each pour.

With a much higher load-bearing capacity than traditional concrete, PrīmX is the most stable and advanced concrete flooring product globally –– sure to add value to your next project!

JOINTLESS AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE.

Joints in concrete floors are rough on machinery, employees’ backs and can harbor contaminants that can taint products. There are no control joints in a daily pour of PrīmX floors — eliminating a mile or more of joints per typical placement. Construction joints remain tight unlike other extended joint systems, there are no dominant joints on a PrīmX floor. More durable than traditional concrete, PrīmX significantly reduces maintenance and repair costs.

FUTURE PROOF YOUR FACILITY.

Automation is the future of warehousing, industrial, and manufacturing operations. Floor requirements are higher than ever.  PrīmX offers a future-proof solution to prepare your facility for whatever the future of your operation looks like while your competition pays the bill for inevitable upgrades.

5-YEAR PERFORMANCE WARRANTY.

Most traditional concrete floors require costly maintenance and repairs to fix curling at miles of joints. Machinery subjected to concrete floors with joints take daily abuse and require higher maintenance costs. With PrīmX, those issues disappear because the slabs don’t shrink, curl, and are virtually crack-free. Plus, they can be cleaned using the same process used to clean traditional concrete floors. We provide a limited 5-year warranty, ensuring your investment is protected.

CO2 EMISSIONS REDUCTION.

When it comes to sustainable industrial flooring, PrīmX is the superior choice. Our composite slab on grade system enhances green construction initiatives by producing up to 40% fewer CO2 emissions than traditional concrete.. It eliminates hazardous silica dust from joint sawing and can help earn LEED innovation credits –– making it both the economical and eco-friendly choice.

APPLICATIONS

COLD STORAGE

DISTRIBUTION & WAREHOUSING

MANUFACTURING

Cold Storage and food processing facilities demand cleanliness. Outperforming traditional shrinkage-compensating slabs, PrīmX floors are ideal as they eliminate the joints where listeria and other contaminants collect.

Strong, durable PrīmX floors are exceptionally flat and are virtually crack-free — making them the smart choice for distribution and warehousing.

Is automation part of your manufacturing vision? Continuously smooth and uninterrupted PrīmX floors are ideal for growing automation robotics applications in manufacturing and warehousing.

PRīMX FAQs

How Does PrimX Technology Work?

During wet cure, the PrimX system consumes water facilitating the delayed reactions which occur between the concrete and the PrimX additives. The proprietary additives in PrimX form a micro-scale composite structure that expand the internal concrete matrix. This expansion puts the steel fibers in tension creating a permanently prestressed condition.

What Makes PrimX Sustainable?

PrīmX flooring requires less material and lowers carbon dioxide emissions by reducing cement content. By eliminating joints, you do away with hazardous silica dust from joint sawing, further minimizing its impact on the environment. On average, choosing PrīmX for your project will reduce CO2 generation by more than 40%.

Fessler & Bowman is proud to be a licensee of Prīmx in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

We have used the PrīmX floor system on the harshest of client applications – including metal storage and fabrication facilities, roll paper storage – and this floor system has performed beautifully! It has also proven itself as a very economical alternative to conventional reinforced concrete floors. We literally have hundreds of thousands of square feet of PrīmX floors that are 4 years old, that still look and function as good as the day they were first poured.

-Jack D. Matasosky, Appro Development

I’ve been in the logistics industry for over 30 years and this is, by far, the best performing floor I’ve ever had in a facility. I’ve built 6 distribution centers for the company and all the other floors fail in comparison to the PrīmX floor. I’ll never build another facility without this floor and highly recommend it.
